Canton, NY: 53yr Old Man Arrested for Soliciting a Teen for Sex Act

Canton, NY (April 25, 2019) – According to authorities, a 53-year-old man has been arrested and accused of offering money to a child in order to let him perform a sexual act with her. Robert R. Sheridan, of 5 Buck Street, was recently arrested on charges of soliciting a minor for a sexual act.

Village police released the news on Wednesday, April 24^th, concerning the incident, which was reported to have taken place approximately one month ago. Police announced that they have now charged Sheridan with felony third-degree criminal solicitation. According to police, Sheridan solicited a 15-year-old girl, offering the teen cash in exchange for allowing him to perform a sexual act with her, although the nature of the act has not been stated.

Similarly, police have not stated the exact time and place where the alleged incident was reported to have occurred. No further details have been provided, as the incident is being actively investigated.
