Edenwald, NY: Two Injured- One Firefighter in Bronx High-Rise Blaze

Edenwald, NY (April 24, 2019) – Authorities stated that at least two people suffered injuries during a fire at a high-rise apartment building early on Wednesday morning, April 23rd. According to fire officials, the blaze broke out at approximately 3:00 a.m. at a complex on East 229th Drive South.
The fire at the residential building was reported to have started on the 13th floor for reasons that are currently under investigation. Emergency medical responders accompanied police and firefighters at the scene of the incident, where one civilian and one firefighter were stated to have suffered injuries.
Both injured parties were immediately transported to nearby hospitals but the extent of their injuries has not been provided at this time. Investigators are actively working to determine the cause of this fire, as no further information has been released.
