Concord, NY – One Person Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 219

Concord, NY (April 25, 2019) – A fatal crash was stated to have taken place on Thursday morning, April 25^th, on Route 219, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. The crash was reported to have happened in the southbound lanes of Route 219 near Genesee Road at approximately 8:05 a.m.

According to Sheriff’s deputies, one vehicle that was confirmed to have been involved went off the roadway and subsequently struck a bridge support for the Genesee Road overpass. The impact of this accident resulted in the presence of police and paramedics at the scene, where they found one occupant inside the aforementioned vehicle. That person was tragically pronounced deceased due to their injuries.

Officials closed down the southbound lanes of the roadway in that area in order to clear debris and begin a preliminary investigation. Deputies stated that the victim is not a local resident; however, their identity has not been released at this time. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
