Raymertown, NY (April 23, 2019) – A house fire was reported to have taken place at a home located on Cold Springs Road on Tuesday morning, April 23rd. According to authorities, the blaze broke out around 3:30 a.m., possibly because of a small campfire or fireplace that was located near the front porch.
Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene of the fire along with police and emergency medical crews. Authorities stated that the homeowner woke up to the smoke detectors going off and was able to get the other members of the household out safely. However, emergency responders transported two people to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The severity of the victims’ injuries is unknown but the home, which housed six people, is considered a total loss. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
