Plattsburgh, NY (April 20, 2019) – Police responded to the scene of a rear-end accident with injuries that took place on Smithfield Boulevard and led to injuries in two people.
21-year-old Shailea Sterling was traveling south on Smithfield Boulevard in a Chrysler Sebring when she failed to notice another vehicle in traffic. The driver was identified as Patrick Russell.
The two vehicles collided. 71-year-old Russell did not receive injuries but Sterling and her two passengers were all taken to the hospital with various injuries, including neck pain. The two passengers were identified as 46-year-old Tisha Bowden and 2-year-old Azalea Lafountain.
Sterling was ticketed for following too closely.
