Far Rockaway, Queens, NY (April 17, 2019) – On Wednesday afternoon, April 17th, an 8-year-old boy was sadly struck by a school bus, resulting in severe injuries. The serious accident was reported to have taken place along Gipson Street at approximately 3:00 p.m.
According to authorities, the young child had just exited the school bus when he was struck for reasons that have not been explained at this time. The devastating nature of this incident summoned the immediate presence of police and emergency medical crews to the scene. Officials stated that the boy was promptly transported to a nearby hospital with CPR in progress.
At this time, the child has been confirmed to be in serious critical condition due to his injuries. Police stated that the bus remained at the scene but no further information has been made available.
