Batavia, NY (April 16, 2019) – A car was reported to have crashed into a house on Monday afternoon, April 15th, resulting in the injuries of two people, according to police. Authorities stated that the accident took place while the two occupants of the vehicle had been engaged in an argument at an unspecified time.
According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle and the passenger had become involved in some sort of altercation while traveling south along Route 98. The vehicle proceeded to cross over the center line before traveling approximately 200 feet off the road and crashing into a house. The impact of the crash caused the driver, identified as Rodney Harmon Jr., and his passenger, Josette Harmon, both of Elba, to be entrapped in the vehicle.
First responders at the scene, as well as a group of bystanders, were able to free both parties from the vehicle. They were immediately transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. The sheriff’s office stated that charges are pending as the official cause of the crash is still under investigation.
