New Rochelle, NY (April 7, 2019) – On Tuesday evening, a pedestrian accident led to serious injuries on North Avenue. Police responded to the accident late at night.
The accident took place around 10:00 p.m., involving a pedestrian and only one other vehicle. Police are not sure what caused the two to collide, but the pedestrian had been crossing the street at the time.
The driver took off immediately after the accident but later pulled over after a witness called police, who began to pursue him. Neither the driver nor the pedestrian has been identified yet.
The unidentified pedestrian was taken to the Jacobi Medical Center with serious leg injuries and remains there today.
Police continue their investigation of this accident.
