Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY (April 6, 2019) – Two people were injured in a massive apartment fire that took place at 7th Avenue and 44th Street.
The fire broke out after a boiler erupted in a house near the park. The fire broke out on the top floor of the old six-story apartment complex. In photographs and videos, smoke could be seen wafting over the entire neighborhood and a fiery smell was left in the city.
The building, according to police, was built in 1927 and has 54 apartment units. Firefighters worked to put out the fire and investigators have been working on their investigation into the fire.
Two people were left with non-life-threatening injuries.
