Port Richmond, NY (March 29, 2019) – Authorities have reported that a man who allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor at least three times over the course of a five-year period has now been indicted with the rape of the underage girl. 45-year-old Franco Zosayaz-Arellano, of the 900 block of Post Avenue, was indicted Friday, March 29th, following his arrest which occurred on February 19th.
Zosayaz-Arellano has been accused of subjected the victim to sexual intercourse in August 2014, as well as again in October 2017, according to police. The victim was reported to have known her abuser, who first sexually abused her while she was under the age of 14. Zosayaz-Arellano has been indicted on felony charges of both second and third-degree rape.
Additionally, Zosayaz-Arellano will also be charged for sexual misconduct, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child. According to authorities, he will be back in court on May 7th.
