Shinnecock Hills, NY (March 27, 2019) – Around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, March 26th, dispatchers sent police and paramedics to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving five cars along County Road 39. The multi-vehicle collision was reported to have taken place in front of SavATree for reasons that have not been determined at this time.
According to police, emergency medical crews accompanied law enforcement at the crash site between Tuckahoe Road and Shrubland Road to render aid to any injured parties. Medical responders were reported to have attended to four individuals who suffered at least minor injuries due to the impact of the collision. All four victims were immediately transported to area hospitals.
At this time, neither the specific conditions of the injured victims nor the events that led to this incident have been reported. County Road 39 was closed down in the area until approximately 5:00 p.m. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
