Wellsville, NY (March 26, 2019) – The Wellsville Police Department reported on Monday, March 25th, that a 16-year-old male is currently facing felony sex charges. The teen has been arrested and charged with three counts of a first-degree criminal sex act, as well as second-degree forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment.
Wellsville Police stated that the charges stem from three separate incidents. The suspect was apprehended following an investigation into the accusations against him; however, there have been few other details released at this time. The nature of the misconduct at hand has not been elaborated.
The suspect has been arraigned in Youth Part of Alleghany County Court and has been released under the supervision of the probation department in that area. Police in Wellsville is currently expanding their investigation into the incidents.
