Syracuse, NY (March 23, 2019) – Police arrived at the scene of a stabbing that took place after a car accident on Midland Avenue earlier this week.
The incident, according to police, took place around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday night, along Midland Avenue, at or near the intersection with Furman Street.
39-year-old Shaladik Hadid was stabbed in the chest after he became involved in a physical altercation following a motor vehicle accident. Although medical personnel promptly responded to the scene, Hadid was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Police do not have any suspect information on the person who stabbed him, as they ran from the scene.
Various parts of Midland Avenue were closed down for quite some time following this accident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash at this time.
