Plainview, Long Island, NY (March 22, 2019) – At least one person was reported to have suffered injuries after a car careened into a Long Island home on Friday morning, March 22nd, according to authorities. Police stated that the accident took place around 9:45 a.m. when a collision at an intersection sent one vehicle into a home on Country Drive.
The owner of the home involved, identified as Harry Johal, stated that the black sedan crashed through the wall into his house as he was setting up a play area for his children. Flying debris caused by the crash struck Johal’s brother, resulting in at least minor injuries. A truck is also believed to have been involved in the accident, as it ended up crashing into a telephone pole located at the intersection with Manetto Hill Road.
Emergency medical crews accompanied police at the scene where Johal’s brother was transported to a local hospital. Two men inside the truck are believed to have suffered at least minor injuries but were able to exit the vehicle on their own, and two men who were in the black sedan appear to be uninjured.
The events and circumstances surrounding the cause if this incident is currently being investigated by authorities.
