Mayfield, NY (March 22, 2019) – According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, a crash that tragically resulted in the death of a 27-year-old woman on Friday, March 22nd, is currently being investigated. The collision was reported to have occurred during the morning hours along Route 30, just north of Sand Hill Road.
An initial investigation into the incident showed that the victim’s vehicle had been heading north along Route 30 when it veered into the southbound lane for unknown reasons, subsequently crashing into a truck that attempted to move out of the way. The driver of the truck was unable to avoid the collision, which resulted in the death of Ciara Holden, 27, of Amsterdam.
Police and paramedics who arrived at the scene did not state whether or not the driver of the truck had been injured in the crash.
