Colonie, NY (March 17, 2019) – This morning, around 8:30 a.m., police responded to a truck accident that happened on Central Avenue and led to injuries in one party.
Police responded to the scene of the accident and claimed that an 80-year-old man ran into two power poles following an accident. The man’s vehicle went off the side of the road following the collision and struck two utility poles, causing severe damage to both.
Police said that, when the man was evaluated by paramedics, he had been in cardiac arrest. He was taken to a local medical center and has been listed in stable condition. No other parties were injured in the crash.
The man is not facing any charges following the accident. Power was since restored to the area. Police continue to search for witnesses and investigate the crash.
