Pembroke, NY (March 14, 2019) – According to police, a head-on collision between a car and a tractor-trailer took place around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th. The serious accident was reported to have occurred in the area of 352 Main Street, near the Erie County line.
Authorities have not been able to release many details concerning the cause of the collision but the tractor-trailer was stated to have ended up in a ditch following the crash. East Pembroke, Indian Falls, and Pembroke Fire Departments immediately responded to the crash site, along with emergency medical crews and police.
Paramedics have not stated the number of victims; however, injuries were reported as serious. Two Mercy Flight helicopters were put on standby, although their services were reported to have been canceled. A large debris field was confirmed at the scene and traffic had been blocked for an unspecified duration of time.
Authorities are currently investigating the events that led to the crash.
