Staten Island, NY (March 11, 2019) – The NYPD has released the identity of the woman who was tragically killed in a house fire that also left one other party injured. 55-year-old Kosoko Amoo sadly lost her life in a fire that broke out Thursday morning, February 28th, inside a home located at 110 Spartan Avenue.
According to police, Amoo lived at the residence where the fire occurred and also resulted in the injuries of a 23-year-old man. Additionally, a total of ten firefighters were also reported to have suffered at least minor injuries in the fire that started around 7:15 a.m. in the basement of the house.
Firefighters and emergency medical crews promptly arrived at the scene, where they extinguished the blaze and attended to the victims. Amoo was sadly pronounced dead on-scene and the unidentified man was rescued and hospitalized. The FDNY is currently continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
