Staten Island, NY (March 10, 2019) – Around 9:58 p.m. tonight, March 10th, police responded to a car accident taking place on the lower level of the Verazzano-Narrows Bridge.
For those who were making their way to Brooklyn earlier this evening, there were delays in the area due to the accident.
Police say that only one person was injured in the accident, though they have not been officially identified. They were quickly transported to the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.
The crash blocked two lanes as of 10:14 p.m. Police continue to work on their investigation of how the crash occurred.
