Ridgewood, Brooklyn, NY (March 8, 2019) – On Friday, March 8th, police released new footage of a man who is currently being pursued for the rape of a woman that occurred last month. The incident was reported to have taken place at the victims’ Ridgewood apartment located in the vicinity of Saint Nicholas Avenue and Gates Avenue on February 7, according to authorities.
Police stated that the victim, identified only as a 28-year-old woman, likely knew her attacker, as she let him sleep on her couch after he told her that he was locked out of his apartment. While the victim was sleeping, the suspect proceeded to rape her before she was eventually able to break free.
The suspect also stole the woman’s Apple Watch, as well as cash, before leaving the scene. Authorities are asking anyone with any information to please call crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
