Hartland, NY (March 8, 2019) – A motor vehicle collision resulted in one vehicle crashing into a pole and subsequently cutting off the power in the nearby area on Friday, March 7th. Authorities reported that the collision took place at the corner of Ridge Road and Hosmer Road for reasons that have not been determined.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the collision took place just before 11:30 a.m. The accident happened when the driver of the vehicle involved seemed to have a medical issue, authorities report. The driver continued to drive through a private yard before crashing into a pole.
Emergency medical crews who arrived at the scene stated that the crash severed the pole and ultimately resulted in injuries to the driver. Paramedics stated that the driver was immediately taken to Erie County Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Power remained out in the area for an unspecified amount of time.
