Bath Beach, Brooklyn, NY (March 7, 2019) – According to police, one person was reported to have suffered injuries after a vehicle crashed into the Royal Deli on Thursday morning, March 7th. The incident happened around 9:00 a.m. after a woman was involved in a small motor vehicle accident on Cropsey Avenue.
Authorities stated that a Nissan Sentra cut off a FedEx truck and caused a rear-end accident just outside of the deli. The 72-year-old driver of the Nissan, after being struck, proceeded to hit the gas by mistake and crashed into the front of the building. Details that were later released stated that 47-year-old Susanne Pulizzi, a frequent customer of the deli, became irate and punched the driver of the vehicle.
At this time, it is clear that at least one person was taken to NYU Langone Hospital; however, the specific condition of the victim is unknown. Another person declined medical attention at the scene. Injuries were reported as minor.
Susanne Pulizzi is being charged with criminal mischief and harassment. The details surrounding this incident are currently under investigation.
