Staten Island, NY (March 6, 2019) – A motor vehicle collision occurred between a car and a National Grid vehicle on Sunday night, March 3rd, that resulted in one person being hospitalized. The accident was stated to have happened at 6:24 p.m. at 4210 Richmond Avenue.
The crash prompted responses from both police and emergency medical crews, who arrived at the scene to evaluate the incident and render aid to any victims. One person was reported to have been immediately transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze to be treated for injuries that were ultimately classified as minor.
The NYPD stated that the injured party was sitting in a parked car at the time of the accident. Afterward, a witness helped to confirm that the driver who initiated the accident was operating a National Grid vehicle at the time. Further investigation may be likely to continue but no further details have been provided.
