Troy, NY (March 5, 2019) – According to authorities, a teenage girl was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident with a vehicle on Tuesday evening, March 5th. The accident was reported to have happened around 7:00 p.m. on 8th Street, between Hoosick and Rensselaer Streets.
Police have not provided any details on the events that led to the incident but were able to confirm that the victim, identified only as a girl in her teens, was struck by a motor vehicle in the aforementioned area. Emergency medical crews who were dispatched to the scene immediately transported the victim to Albany Medical Center with lower body injuries and head trauma.
At this time, police have stated that the girl is in serious although non-life-threatening condition. The driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation into this incident.
