Lowville, NY (March 4, 2019) – Three teenagers and a 64-year-old woman were reported to have all suffered injuries following a two-car crash that took place on Saturday night, March 2nd, according to authorities. The accident happened along Route 812 at an unspecified time.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department reported that a Ford F-150 operated by a 17-year-old girl, who was accompanied by a 17-year-old male passenger, had been traveling northbound along the aforementioned roadway when the driver lost control of the truck near the intersection with East State Street. The truck veered into the opposite lane and subsequently collided with a Kia Sorento being operated by a 16-year-old boy, whose passenger was the 64-year-old woman.
Emergency medical crews were immediately dispatched to the crash site where all four parties were promptly transported to Lewis County General Hospital. Police stated that the adult woman suffered the most serious injuries, while the conditions of the three teenagers’ injuries have been classified as minor. The crash is believed to have been caused by slushy roads but no further information has been provided.
