Ballston Spa, NY (March 4, 2019) – A man was tragically struck and killed by a motor vehicle while walking along Route 50 on Sunday night, March 3rd, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities reported that the incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. for reasons that have not been verified.
Deputies currently in charge of the investigation stated that the fatal accident occurred between Brookline Road and Tomaselli Court. Emergency medical crews were called to the scene along with police to evaluate the incident and assist the victim. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead due to the trauma he endured, although it was stated as to whether or not the victim died at the scene or a local hospital.
At this time, police are not releasing the identity of the victim until next-of-kin can be notified. No further details have been provided.
