Sodus, NY (March 2, 2019) – Police from Wayne County were called to the scene of a two-car accident involving a vehicle and a truck that led to injuries in one person.
55-year-old Laurie Conrad, of Wolcott, had been traveling north on Route 88 when she failed to see a truck hauling trash that had stopped alongside the road. She ran into the rear-end of the truck, causing a major collision. Police say that Conrad had to be extricated from the wreck by first responders.
Conrad was quickly transported to the hospital with a variety of injuries for treatment.
Route 88 was temporarily closed for some time. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
