Staten Island, NY (February 26, 2019) – A teenage boy was reported to have been struck by an unidentified vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, February 26. The injurious accident happened at an unspecified time in the vicinity of the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Midland Avenue in the Grant City section of the island.
According to the FDNY, the boy was found lying on the pavement near a bus stop located directly in front of an AutoZone at 2175 Hyland Boulevard. The victim suffered injuries that resulted in his being transported to a local hospital via ambulance.
No information concerning the exact condition of the victim has been released; however, his condition has been reported as non-life-threatening at this time. The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to have remained at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities.
