Kingsbury, NY (February 25, 2019) – According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a man was injured in a snowmobile accident along Route 43 on Saturday night, February 23. Police stated that 55-year-old Christopher Lavin, of Washington County, was involved in an accident that occurred at around 11:30 p.m. for reasons that are currently unknown.
The accident occurred when Lavin crashed off the aforementioned roadway potentially due to faulty mechanics or high speed. Emergency medical crews from Fort Edward transported Lavin to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment; however, he was later taken to Albany County Medical Center. His condition is listed as critical at this time.
Authorities are currently uncertain as to whether or not any other parties or entities such as a vehicle manufacturer or mechanic played a role in the cause of this accident. The investigation is ongoing as no further details have been made available.
