Hempstead, NY (February 24, 2019) – Saturday night, multiple pedestrian accidents took place, some of which led to fatal results.
In the first reported accident, a fatal pedestrian collision took place when a man was crossing South Franklin Avenue when he was suddenly hit by a vehicle.
The man, according to police, has since been identified as 31-year-old Israel Lopez-Perez. He was struck around 7:00 p.m. and quickly transported to the hospital by paramedics. Unfortunately, while there, he passed away.
At this time, the circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
