Weeksville, Brooklyn, NY (February 24, 2019) – An incident involving a carbon monoxide leak at a building in Brooklyn sent six people to the hospital on Sunday morning, February 24, according to authorities. The seriously injurious incident took place at a three-story residence located on Lincoln Place in the Weeksville section of Brooklyn at around 7:45 a.m.
According to police, dispatchers received a call concerning several ill parties at the above-mentioned location and sent FDNY, NYPD, and EMS to the scene. After arriving at the residence, high levels of carbon monoxide were detected and subsequently forced the evacuation of the buildings’ occupants.
Altogether, paramedics transported six people to Brookdale Hospital where one person has been listed in critical condition. The other five victims appear to have sustained relatively minor injuries in the incident.
