Sinclairville, NY (February 24, 2019) – A fatal motor vehicle collision that took place in Chautauqua County Saturday night, February 23, is currently under investigation by authorities. The accident was reported to have occurred between a Honda Civic and a dump truck that was hauling a wood chipper at the time.
According to local authorities, the unidentified driver of the Honda Civic had been traveling along Route 380 in the town of Sinclairville when the vehicle went through a stop sign for unverified reasons. The Civic was immediately struck on the driver’s side by a dump truck, resulting in a devastating crash.
Police and emergency medical crews were quickly at the scene where they tragically pronounced the driver of the Civic deceased. More information will be made available in the near future, pending the completion of the investigation, according to New York State Police.
