Hauppauge, NY (February 22, 2019) – According to police, a woman was reported to have tragically lost her life after a car accident that happened on Wheeler Road in the town of Hauppauge on Friday, February 22. According to authorities, the crash took place at an unspecified time for reasons which may have been caused by faulty mechanics.
Police stated that an unidentified woman had been traveling southbound along Wheeler Road when the vehicle she was in veered off the roadway for unknown reasons. The car subsequently crashed into a utility pole.
Emergency medical crews accompanied police at the scene where they sadly pronounced the driver dead. The vehicle was immediately impounded for a safety check. The identity of the deceased victim is currently being withheld until authorities are able to notify loved ones. An investigation into the cause of the crash is currently ongoing.
