Albany, NY (February 22, 2019) – On Thursday morning, February 21, authorities were dispatched to the scene of an accident between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. Police stated that the collision took place at around 7:50 a.m. for reasons that have not been made immediately clear.
According to authorities, the accident happened in the northbound/southbound lanes of Broadway at Interstate 787, prompting responses from both police and emergency medical crews. The pedestrian who was struck is believed to have been walking along the roadway at the time, however, it is currently unclear as to whether or not they were in a marked crosswalk.
Paramedics were able to verify that at least minor injuries resulted from the accident, although there has been no word concerning the condition of the victim at this time. Authorities are likely to be conducting a thorough investigation into the events that led to this accident.
