West Monroe, NY (February 23, 2019) – The New York State Police arrived at the scene of a deadly pedestrian accident that took place on Route 37 near Woodworth Road.
The accident, according to police, took place in West Monroe and involved a pedestrian and a vehicle around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, February 22.
When police responded, they found the male victim lying in the roadway. He was tragically deceased at the time of the accident. His identity has not yet been released.
Police believe that the accident took place because the road was dark in that area and the driver might not have seen the pedestrian. The investigation into the matter is ongoing at this time.
