Rochester, NY (February 20, 2019) – A man was reported to have caused an accident with a Trailways bus in the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 20, that left his passenger with injuries, according to authorities.
Police were called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Main Street after an intoxicated driver ran a red light around 3:45 a.m. According to officers, 31-year-old Jorge Rossi was intoxicated when he went through the red light and crashed into the bus, which was reported to be transporting passengers at the time.
Paramedics who arrived at the crash site stated that no one on the bus was hurt; however, a passenger in Rossi’s vehicle suffered at least minor injuries. That individual was immediately taken to a local hospital, where their condition is considered non-life-threatening.
Rossi was charged for driving while intoxicated. No further details have been reported.
