Johnson City, NY (February 20, 2019) – Authorities responded to a pedestrian accident that left an 80-year-old woman injured on Wednesday afternoon, February 20. Firefighters who arrived at the scene stated that the elderly woman was struck by a car in a Wegmans parking lot around 12:00 p.m.
Members of the Johnson City Fire Department, Johnson City Police Department, and the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad responded to the incident shortly after it occurred. Authorities stated that the accident happened as the driver of the vehicle involved was backing out of a parking space.
