North Amityville, NY (February 17, 2019) – On Friday, a truck accident took place on the Sunrise Highway that caused a truck to roll over and strike multiple vehicles.
The tractor-trailer that rolled over, which had been carrying heavy metals, flipped onto its side on County Line Road two days ago. Four vehicles were badly damaged in the accident and two people were treated for injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.
There were several road closures in the area as crews worked to clean up the crash scene. The roads were reopened within hours.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
