Watertown, NY – Update: Two More Children Dead After House Fire that Killed Three

Watertown, NY (February 15, 2019) – On Thursday, February 14, a devastating fire broke out at a home on Myrtle Avenue and tragically claimed the lives of two young girls and their father. During the fire, one child was able to escape and call for help as two other children were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries after responders arrived. Sadly, those two children have now succumbed to their injuries.

Authorities have now released the names of all victims of the fire that broke out in the kitchen of the home located at 906 Myrtle Avenue. 4-year-old Skylar M. Bodah was reported to have died in the residence. She would have turned 5 today, February 15. 8-year-old Alexa L. Bodah and 38-year-old Aaron J. Bodah, the children’s father, were pronounced dead shortly after being taken to Samaritan Medical Center.

14-year-old Merissa A. Bodah and 6-year-old Erin L. Bodah tragically passed away overnight after being transported to Upstate Medical University. 13-year-old Hailey M. Bodah is the only daughter to have survived the fire. She is currently receiving treatment and listed in good condition.
