Staten Island, NY (February 14, 2019) – At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday night, February 13, a 37-year-old man was reported to have lost his arm in a seriously injurious train accident on Staten Island. According to authorities, the incident happened at the Pleasant Plains train station for reasons that are unclear at this time.
According to authorities, the victim, who has only been identified as a 37-year-old man, lost his arm after it had ended up in the path of a train. Emergency medical crews and police were quickly brought to the scene where they located the severed arm and immediately rushed him to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.
The latest information stated that medical professionals were actively working to reattach the arm, but the specific condition of the victim is not available at this time. It is believed that the victim may be emotionally disturbed and there is a possibility that he placed himself in harm’s way.
