Rochester, NY (February 13, 2019) – Following a collision between a school bus and an SUV, two people were reported to have been sent to the hospital on Wednesday morning, February 13. The accident happened at around 8:20 a.m. along Route 441 in the city of Rochester, according to authorities.
Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies stated that the incident took place after a Monroe School Transportation bus was traveling along the above-mentioned roadway and possibly hit a patch of ice. A nearby SUV attempted to veer into the left turning lane in order to avoid hitting the bus but collided with the driver’s side. Thankfully, there were no children on board the bus at the time of the incident.
Police and paramedics were immediately called to the scene of the accident where they attended to two injured victims. Both parties were promptly transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with at least minor injuries. The specific conditions of the injured parties have not been released at this time.
