Moreau, NY (February 13, 2019) – Police were called to the scene of a deadly one-car crash that took place at the intersection of State Route 9 and Greenway Road in the town of Moreau on Tuesday, February 13. The crash was reported to have occurred in the early morning hours at around 1:00 a.m. for reasons that are actively being investigated.
According to police, 23-year-old Caleb D. Lawrence, of South Glen Falls, was traveling south along State Route 9 when he lost control of the wheel, due to either mechanical failure or poor road conditions, and ultimately rolled his vehicle multiple times. Lawrence, the only occupant of the car, struck a tree stump at the at end of the crash and was ejected from his vehicle. Both emergency medical crews and police responded to the incident.
Paramedics at the scene immediately transported Lawrence to Glens Falls Hospital, where he was treated for head trauma. Tragically, Lawrence later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The events that led to this incident are actively under investigation at this time.
