Staten Island, NY (February 11, 2019) – According to authorities, a section of road in the Stapleton section of Staten Island had to be closed down following a serious car accident Monday morning, February 11. The accident prompted a response from the FDNY who arrived at the scene at around 10:53 a.m.
Police stated that responders were dispatched to the crash site at the intersection of Bay Street and Sands Street to assist any victims who may have been hurt in the rollover accident. Authorities said that a gray Hyundai sedan with New Jersey plates had rolled over due to a crash that may have involved other vehicles.
An FDNY spokesman stated that firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene where they transported two individuals to Staten Island University Hospital in Prince’s Bay. The conditions of the two victims have been classified as non-life-threatening at this time.
