Staten Island, NY – One Person Died in House Fire on Hatfield Place

Staten Island, NY (February 10, 2019) – One person died in a house fire that took place on Thursday at 170 Hatfield Place. The accident took place in the early morning hours.

The fire started on the first floor of a two-story home. Two victims had to be treated by EMS crews. However, one 21-year-old female who has not been identified was found unconscious and unresponsive inside the home by firefighters who arrived at the scene.

The female was quickly transported in critical condition to the Richmond University Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control by 7 a.m. and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
