Middle Island, NY (February 10, 2019) – Police reported that three individuals were killed and two were injured in a fatal accident that took place on Route 25 last night, February 9.
The accident, police reported, took place when a teenage driver crashed a stolen SUV into another vehicle while attempting to flee from police. The accident took the life of the teen’s brother and a couple in their 70s.
The teen has since been identified as 17-year-old Nahriek Belford, who has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment but additional charges will probably result. Belford might have also been driving under the influence at the time.

A passenger in the Nissan, identified as 19-year-old Angelo Belford, was also tragically killed. A 16-year-old passenger identified as Jaquelle Funderburke survived the accident.
