Malone, NY (February 9, 2019) – Two men from North Country were seriously injured in a rear-end car accident that took place in the parking lot of the Malone WalMart.
Police say that 30-year-old Joseph Franze had been traveling out of the WalMart and was near the intersection with State Route 11. Suddenly, as he approached, a 2018 Ford Focus struck the rear of the vehicle.
28-year-old Norman Bates was driving the Focus at the time. Franze was not injured. Bates, a 4-year-old identified as Jacob Murdock, and a 13-year-old named Casandra Comstock, complained of pain and were all hospitalized.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
