Bronx, NY (February 9, 2019) – A school bus accident took place in the Bronx this morning, February 9, that led to minor injuries in a variety of teenagers that were being transported. The driver received serious injuries and was arrested.
The accident took place around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Claremont Parkway. Somehow, the school bus ended-up rear-ending an SUV. Video surveillance taken in the area showed a white SUV in front of the bus that had crashed into a tree. Then, another SUV wasn’t able to stop in time and slammed into the back of the bus.
The bus had been allegedly taking a group of teens on a school trip. Thirteen people were injured, all of which were minor injuries that consisted of those involving the knee and back.
The driver was arrested for driving without a license.
Police are currently working on their investigation of the accident.
