Bellmont, NY (February 9, 2019) – A two-vehicle accident took place on State Route 190 that led to injuries in two motorists. The accident happened when a vehicle ran into another lane.
Police say that 17-year-old Rachel Spieldenner was traveling westbound when she lost control of her 2008 Chevrolet Impala going around a curve in the roadway. Her vehicle veered into the other lane of traffic, which caused her to strike a 2016 Nissan that was being driven by another driver.
34-year-old Peggy Rushford was driving the other vehicle. Her car was thrown off the south shoulder and rolled before it came to rest on its passenger side. Both drivers received a variety of injuries, such as head and back pain.
Spieldenner received a ticket for failing to keep right. Police continue to investigate at this time.
