Silver Lake, NY (February 8, 2019) – On Friday night, February 8, the FDNY responded to an apartment fire that left one person with at least minor injuries. The fire was reported to have started at around 5:27 at an apartment inside of the Lakeview Apartment building located at 630 Victory Boulevard, across from Silver Lake Park in the town of Silver Lake.
Dispatchers sent fire crews, paramedics, and police to the scene of the fire that took place in a unit on the top floor of the six-story building. Emergency medical personnel were stated to have attended to at least one civilian who suffered an injury that has been classified as minor at this time.
Authorities do not believe that the victim was hospitalized and there has been no word concerning any other injured parties. Investigators are actively examining all the evidence at the scene in order to determine the cause of the fire.
