Saratoga Springs, NY (February 2, 2019) – In Saratoga Springs, a 33-year-old man from Ballston Spa was killed in a fatal accident involving three vehicles last night.
The accident, according to police, took place at a city intersection last night around 9:30 p.m. The man was identified by police as Lucas Rockwood, who had been driving his F-350 pickup truck down Van Dam Street when he suddenly drifted into oncoming traffic for reasons that are not yet known.
Rockwood grazed a 2016 Kia and then collided head-on with a Ford F-150 truck. Two passengers in the Kia were not injured while two others in the truck were taken to the hospital with injuries. They were identified as a 52-year-old man and 44-year-old woman.
At the time, police arrived and found Rockwood having a medical emergency. He was quickly rushed to the hospital but died while there. The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
